Meet Our Teachers

Waldorf early childhood teachers play a crucial role in shaping the foundation of a child's education. They foster a nurturing and creative environment where young learners can explore, discover, and develop their unique talents. By emphasizing hands-on activities and imaginative play, these educators support holistic development, integrating social, emotional, cognitive growth. Their dedication helps to cultivate a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Meet our highly trained and experienced staff.

Verna White

Aloha, I’m Verna White. I was raised on O‘ahu and earned my degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. I spent twelve years living abroad in the Canary Islands, Norway, and traveling throughout Europe, before returning to California to complete my accreditation in Child Development and Early Education at Saddleback College. In late 2025, I moved to Boise to be nearer family.

I taught PreK and Kindergarten in San Clemente and Mission Viejo for five years before moving back to Hawaii. For four years I was part of the Honolulu Waldorf School community in various roles, including Director of After School Care, Early Childhood Assistant/Co-Lead, and Director of the 2024 Summer Fun program. I’ve loved building meaningful connections with children and families along the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy the beach, reading, and traveling with my family. I’m passionate about creating a warm, safe, and welcoming space where children feel happy and excited to be.
